Jaycee Lee Dugard Interview

Did anyone else watch it last night? Thoughts?

Re: Jaycee Lee Dugard Interview

  • I was seriously disturbed.

I can't believe that she even was in the house during some of the parole visits and talked with the guy and nothing happened. It also makes me so mad that the police were called multiple times to report little girls in the back yard and no one followed up.

I thought it was interesting that she said the rape stopped once both children were born, not sure what he was keeping her around for.

WTF is wrong with his wife?!?

It is still so odd to me that she never once tried to run or anything. I know she lived with him longer than with her own family, but the fact that she never even tried is just odd. He was ballsy taking her and the kids out and about in public too.

  • I only watched the 1st half hour.  The rest is on my DVR, but from what I did see, that is one crazy story.  I cannot believe how incredibly strong she is after what happened to her.  I am looking forward to reading her book.

  • I watched it and I was engrossed by how intelligent and calm she is.  It seems like despite all of the odds against her, she is a well-balanced and functioning human being.  After having read the book "Room" by Emma Donoghue (which was based on real life kidnappings), I have a different perspective of what it must have been like for her there with her children.  I'm happy for her that she is in a place in her life that she can talk about it.  I hope she makes piles of money off of that book.  I know money doesn't buy happiness but damn, that woman needs some compensation for what she went through.  I hope that sick SOB and his degenerate wife rots in jail.

  • I didn't watch the whole thing...Big Brother was waiting for me :)

Everything that happened to that girl is horrible!  Although, I hope she uses some of the money she won to get herself an education.  She seemed to frustrate herself trying to find the right words.

I hope those two rot in jail for what they did to Jaycee and the life they stole from her and her kids.

Are the kids leading a semi-normal life?

This story is the one that still freaks me out, and I wonder how they are doing:

  • I was watching bits of this and it just saddened me to hear all the horrible things she went through and also all the missed opportunities for authorities to find/held her.  I was amazed by her strength.

Random, but did anyone see when they were talking about how she would fall asleep watching QVC, they had a little clip that was suppose to be some item on QVC.  The item was for a $500 million Hope diamond necklace.

My cousin and I were just talking about all this yesterday as she is currently reading "Room".  I googled the Fritzl case and this appears to be the most recent information available
