Wow, we get Fishy!!! Okay, she's coming from the furthest away, so I say she suggests a place....
Re: Friday GTG
Hi! Hi! Hi!
I know I am butting in last minute so you guys pick a place and I can try try try to make it work! What were the earlier suggestion - I think that I saw that you guys had planned something before that didn't pan out? And are some of the "Southie" Maine girls coming too?
Geez - who is the question girl?! : ) Me! Sorry!
Missing you!!
I'm going to make it work, since my lunch-date days are numbered.
DH is going to NC for a long weekend visit with his sister, and we'll actually be coming from my parent's house in Westbrook. Are we still thinking of the Portsmouth/Kittery area?
What about Red Hook on Pease? - they have a patio if it's nice out. Or there's the chain places in Newington - Friday's, Bugaboo, Olive Garden, IHOP, Longhorn, Texas Roadhouse, there's a Chinese buffet place... Parking would be a super pain, but in Portsmouth there's a Flatbread Pizza.
My Wedding Bio! Not updated in a LONG time!
Redhook sounds good to me! Helen hates everything on the menu but she'll eat potato chips. (Yeah, I'm such a good mom!) They open at 11:30.
Alternately, Helen loves to eat at Chipotle. They open at 11:00. They have a small fenced-in patio. If we got there early enough, we could probably find enough tables to hold us all. It has the plus of not waiting to get our food.
We could do an early lunch and then maybe go over to Fox Run Mall and hang out at the play area? Helen loves to climb on the "opopus."
I'm open to either Redhook or Chipoltle. It's hard to keep Owen in a restaurant seat for very long, so if it was somewhere with kid walking/running space, so much the better, but it's not necessary. (Erin, I love your offer, but I'll be honest -- I don't feel like making anything! I have to make something for Owen's daycare potluck this week already.
)
I like the idea of an early lunch (11:30 sounded good). I forgot that Owen's daycare party is on Friday @ 4, so I have to be headed back by about 2:30.
Let's do Chipotle at 11:30. I like that we pay for the food when we get it so that if someone gets too cranky and needs to leave there's no waiting around to pay the bill. We can give the high chairs to those who need them most -- babies can sit in their car seats and the bigger kids can sit in chairs. (Helen hasn't used a high chair for a while now.) And then afterward, anyone who wants to head over to the mall can do so.
sounds like a plan!
