Anyone want to discuss this season's True Blood?

The discussion on the Entertainment board is making my eyes bleed. NOBODY has mentioned the uber creepy necromancer that Marnie is channeling, so there's no point in discussing the episodes with them :D

Re: Anyone want to discuss this season's True Blood?

  • Yes, yes, yes!

Super creepy lady in the mirror!

Super creepy baby with even creepier baby doll!

Super creepy gang rape of Jason!

Love that Alcide was in last night's episode...waiting for Debbie to mess up and show her true colors!

Amnesiatic Eric is super funny and super hot!  "Snookie.." "First of all, it's Sookie."

  • See, that is exactly what I'm talking about. Those are the important topics right there.

Did you catch Eric's throwaway line to Bill that he 'remembers the Inquisition' in regards to necromancers? I keep wondering if this woman is a witch leftover from then, and I thought it was an interesting concept they just mentioned without exploring, like she's been waiting on the spiritual plane all these years for revenge. The first channeling episode where the eyes kept popping back and forth really creeped me out. I rewound it a few times to see if I could make out the face, so I'm glad they showed her this past week. Excellent casting of Marnie.

Agreed on the creepy baby doll. Clearly I am not bite-cheating on my human bf, but hello, that would have stood out for me in the argument. Then she gives it to a real baby?! And they're excited about it?! OMG

Why did every pantherette have blood on her mouth? These people never wipe their mouths? They didn't at least wait to see if the panthering took?

I'm also glad they're really giving Eric some range. I think he was in danger of getting typecast into his own role, but, yes, so funny. "Sorreeee" Seems like they're combining the fairy and demon storyline there, so I guess we will not be seeing Mr whateverhisnameis Demon Lawyer.

So much more effective to have Debbie back in Alcide's life before she goes nuts.

  • Oh, I must say I am disturbed by the Portia storyline given the books' tying her to Bill, but whatever. Ok, not whatever: I'm still super disturbed. And there is no way she should be that good looking.

Did you catch Eric's throwaway line to Bill that he 'remembers the Inquisition' in regards to necromancers? No, I completely missed that. That's a great catch and I support that line of thinking on someone they (Eric) may have run into in the past trying to get revenge.  And agree on the excelleng casting of Marnie.  She's subservient, scary, powerful and soft-spoken all at the same time (or at different times as the scene dictates)...great acting.

Agreed on the creepy baby doll. Clearly I am not bite-cheating on my human bf, but hello, that would have stood out for me in the argument. Then she gives it to a real baby?! And they're excited about it?! OMG DH and I zoned in on that dead baby doll as soon as Hoyt was cuddling it on the couch (WTF).  Maybe because my sister sent this 15 inch tall creepy Caillou doll for James.  We're all scared of it in the house.  We call it our Chuckie doll.

Why did every pantherette have blood on her mouth? These people never wipe their mouths? They didn't at least wait to see if the panthering took?  I think the elder said the panthering took...although, hello, it's Jason...gang rape and all aside *cough*, I wouldn't wait to see if it took either.

Eric was cracking me up all night.

So much more effective to have Debbie back in Alcide's life before she goes nuts. Agreed!

  • In the first episode I thought the creepy lady in the mirror was the Queen from last season when Marnie's face flashed.

The baby doll was in the season finale so I was not surprised to see it, but I have no idea where they're going with it.

I'm really really enjoying this season. I didn't like the first episode because I don't lime where they're going with the fairy story line, but I'm loving everything else.
