Would a woman who is 7 months pregnant post a FB status that says she just got really sad news and that life is unfair - in the early morning. And then not come back and comment again the rest of the day despite a bunch of comments asking what's wrong? Now I'm super worried about her and whether the baby's okay.
I friggen hate cryptic FB statuses. If you got news that you're not ready to share with the world - don't mention it at all. We have another friend that does this constantly, posting things like "life-changing day today!" without ever elaborating.
Sorry, just needed to vent.

Re: Why oh why
Agreed! I cannot stand cryptic facebook messages, I mean, what's the point of posting unless you are just craving attention.
On another note, I hope everything is okay with her and her baby!

This! I have had to suggest to my stepson that he is careful when putting stuff up since he has done a few of those attention getting statements. I will never comment on those statuses. If it's someone important to me I'll call them to see how they are. Hope everything's ok!

Ugh, so annoying! I never comment on those.
I do hope that she is ok though.
This exactly!
This is definitely on my top 5 pet peeves of all time list. It makes my blood boil I swear --- if something really is wrong then facebook isn't the place to announce it before you've told your friends and family (IMO), and if nothing is wrong and you just had a bad day then that's just begging for attention which is gross.
I do hope your friend and baby are okay!

Ditto. I refuse to post for these, because 9/10 times its nothing that bad or "oh its all better now". I do hope that everything is okay with her though.

It turns out that she has a friend that just entered hospice care. Which, of course, is really sad - but, way to give your entire friends list a heart attack by letting the whole day go by without giving specifics.
Yeah, I never reply to the vaguebooking statuses either. Definitely my biggest FB pet peeve, along with the people who update 10 times a day and post new pictures of their (school-aged) child every minute.
