Is this normal?

Or have  I created a freaking nature preserve?

I went outside to pick some cucumbers for our salad and heard a chirping in our downspout.  Greta the dog went nuts, and a baby chipmunk scurried under the rhubarb leaves.  Phew.  Then, I went to pick lettuce and within our raised bed - with netting all around to keep critters out - was a rabbit freaking out because it couldn't get out.  She finally did a scary-Mary Lou Retton move to get over the fencing before I could help her.

This all happened in 2 minutes.

They're coming out of hiding to protest the "For Sale" sign.

  • "Mary Lou" hahahahahahahah.

Gardens bring out all the critters. Easy to find food.

Mere was watching me and wanted a "funny face," so here's that: Geeked

  • I have no idea if it's normal, but it sounds exciting!

I'm enjoying the image in my head right now of a rabbit doing some back-flips and totally sticking the landing.

  • I would say normal.  We live in a condo with no garden, but along one side of our house there are a few acres of woods.  We have lots of bunnies and all sorts of birds.  One spring there was a kindle of bunnies in our "backyard."
