how lovely, the AC is out at work!

It's up to 84* and rising... My boss will be here soon and hopefully he'll have someone fix it or send me home... although if this heat sends me into labor I won't complain :)

  • I already told you I think that's cruel & unusual punishment for a pregnant woman. He should pay you to go home... y'know, for your own safety.

  • I agree with CD. I hope he either fixes it or you get a nice day off with pay.

  • I would seriously leave. It's over 100 degrees with the heat index today. I'd come back in when the AC was fixed. I can't handle broken AC and I'm not PG. It's not like you can strip down to your skivvies at work either. I'm sorry.
  • omg I would absolutely leave. I hope it gets fixed PRONTO!

  • I agree. I would definitely leave. It's way too hot for that crap. Hope he gets it fixed or sends you home asap!

  • I would ask to leave and I'm not pregnant.

  • I hope you are on your way home.  There is no way I'd stay there with no AC.  Tell him to call you when it's fixed and go get a pedicure or something :)

  • Still here :( It's climbing to 86. I'm not sure what to do... he gave me a little fan and I heard him call a repair person. He's never had kids or a pregnant woman at the office so I don't think he gets it... I hate this, I don't know what to do

  • Honestly I'd just tell him that it's really uncomfortable for you, ask if he minds if you go home until it's fixed.  You're not going back after Violet is born, right?  So who cares what he thinks about you asking to leave :)

  • I don't know about you, but when I was over 30 weeks, any time I was in an 80 degree plus situation, my feet started to swell and I didn't feel well. You can't cool yourself off effectively when there's an entire other person generating heat inside you. Just tell him you feel like you're going to throw up. I bet he'll be happy to get you out of there.
  • It hit 88* so I basically told him I needed to go. He was fine with it. Now it's clean out the DVR time :)
