Problems with my mint plant-HELP!

My mint plant was looking healthy until about a week or so ago.  The leaves are turning yellow and brown and have spots on them.  I've been picking off the bad leaves, but now they are too numerous.  Yesterday when I was looking at it there was a small green worm on it. I'm not sure if it was just a random worm or if it's the cause of the brown/yellow leaves.  I do water it regularly and there is drainage at the bottom off the pot, so I don't think it's overwatering causing it.

How do I get my plant healthy again?  It's in a pot by itself, so hopefully whatever it is doesn't spread to other plants.

  • Has the weather changed drastically where you live this week?  That might be it.

I would try watering a tad less regularly while scoping out the plant for more worms.  Good luck.

  • Change out the pot and the soil.  Dump the old soil far away from any plant you like and scrub the old pot with bleach.   It sounds like the worm is the culprit.  There is a kind of worm that infest soil and eats the roots from below.
