seems quiet around here. how is everyone doing? what have you been up to?
It's been kind of crazy at work and at home for me right now, thus my absence. Yesterday I had a doctors appt, tonight I'm getting bpics done, and then weds and thurs we're meeting with a realtor and a lender about moving forward with the house buying process. that coupled with some crazy days at work as we elevate some new websites has meant that I've been MIA.

I think/hope everyone just gets really busy in the summer. It has been really quiet though!
My parents are arriving tomorrow to visit us for two weeks, and we're leaving them this weekend with the animals and I'm taking DH to Toronto for a fun birthday weekend. We're going to go to a Blue Jays-Yankees game, and out for dinner and brunch at a couple of must-try restaurants.

TTC Since January 2011 - We have bad spermThings have been pretty busy for me at work, but I still stop in throughout the day.
DH has also been work 60+hrs a week, it's really ridiculous. So when I get home I've been cleaning/doing laundry/ taking care of the animals/ and trying to paint and do small random jobs around the house.
I did finally get a guy in to lay out the tile for the kitchen floor. Hopefully he's at the house now working on it, it should be done this week though. *fingerscrossed*
I've been checking in periodically, but have been so busy with work by the time I get home I just crash. I called in sick yesterday because I had a major headache since Friday that lasted ALL WEEKEND. Yuck! I felt like I got hit by a Mack truck. Feeling much better today, but now I'm buried in even more work. Thankful to have a job though

Work is busy some days and others not, so as long as someone else is posting and I have relevant info to add, I will!
I can't believe it's almost mid-July. For not really having had any major plans yet this summer, it's going quickly

My life has been nuts lately!
We were working 50+hour weeks at work for the last 3 weeks which meant that I got up came to work, worked about 10-11 hours and then went home and made dinner and crashed.
Then we had the holiday weekend and I had my first whole weekend off in a long time so DH and I enjoyed spending it together. I also went back to 2nd shift so that means that in the morning I am usually trying to stuff done around the house (and not spend all my time on the computer).
On the 5th DH's grandfather had a brain aneurysm so we have been back and forth to the University of Iowa Hospital (about 45 min away) for the last week, which has consumed pretty much all of our time and energy and has been emotionally draining.
Back to a whole week of work this week but still going to the hospital when we can, seperately unfortunately since I am off during the day and DH at night.
Oh, and we bought 2 horses so we have been dealing with that also!! SOOO busy!
I'm almost always on my phone when I'm on the internet, so I can't post on here
But we're doing great! Carter is so much fun to be with...I'm loving every minute and wish I could stay home with him forever! Other than that, we really don't do anything. Our life revolves around him, as they should...

Thanks to all my coworkers taking vacations, I've been - and will continue to - covering their vacations since I'm trained in all areas of the library. Ours doesn't hit til September 29th, so ours is the last one. I love my job, and it's bringing in some awesome money at the moment.
My aunt and cousin are in from California for the next three weeks to help take care of grandpa - he got out of the hospital last week after having a minor heart attack. He's doing fine (it'll take more than that to take the crotchety old Dutchman out). Since Caitlin (cousin) has her sweet 16 on Friday, I'm making the cake for that.
I just found out today, too, that my financial aid went through, so I can now go back and get my bachelor's degree, then master's. Half way through the master's, we'll start TTC, so here's to the next 4+ years of not having any sanity! I'm excited!
My husband worked at a "pet" store for 10 years and saltwater tanks are his specialty/hobby! Any questions you may have, please feel free to send over. He litereally knows everything there is to know about it! It is his favorite thing to do but when we moved into our last apt. we had to get rid of his tank.
