for my BIL (aka sister's boyfriend).
Sunday everyone (but me) went to dirtbike races over the river. All morning I got pictures of Jack laughing with earplugs in and near the bikes.
2nd race last turn BIL crashes BAD. Shattered femur and fractured wrist! They brought him to St. Francis (GROSS!!) and he has been there since Sunday now.
LAST NIGHT at 9pm they took him into surgery (mind you he got there at 1pm Sunday) and was under until 2am and has a rod now in his leg. He is 24.5 years old, his like is cars, bikes and building these toys. He is the "most cautious" of the siblings and it just sucks for him.
Please pray for a quick recovery because so much rests on this for him (job, etc). My sister is exhausted as she has been there every moment basically getting home at 7am today for a few hours sleep and heading back. I am heading up later today, DH was up there yesterday with him.
Thanks ladies!

We have not been impressed with trauma at all. It took over 24 hours for a DOCTOR to actually see him. They wouldn't give pain meds because the nurses had something stuck up there asses and finally did when threats where made.
Hello. I've waited here for you. Everlong<3<br>
There is a hospital trauma service there, the PA's are on call and physicians come in in the middle of the night when an emergency (not urgent case) comes in. Its not uncommon to wait 24-48 hours for orthopedic surgery, and while femur fractures are urgent they aren't emergent, ya know?
I hope he does well. Usually the young guys do.
That just stinks. Hopefully his youth will be a great factor in his recovery. Sending T&P's.

Jess- he got there before 1pm Sunday and had surgery 9PM MONDAY.
He SHATTERED the entire femur (leaving him with a shorter leg most likely and limp).
He is also the only one on the floor without a cop outside his room when we went tonight... not impressed by any part of the hospital.
