NYS Health Insurance
Currently I have Healthy Blue BCBS through my employer for my family (myself, husband, and 5 month old). My employer contributes 40% to the monthly premium and I am still paying something like $160.00/week ($640.00/month)! My husband is currently working through a temp agency and doesn't have many options for coverage at this time. I'm trying to find an alternative but can't seem to find anything that is a) cheaper, b) available individually (not through your employer), and c) that we do not max over the income restrictions. I could put my son on CHP... we max out of the income limit but even so the max. premium is ~$170/mo. I do want to get pregnant again in the near future and don't want to go without health insurance but really want to find something cheaper!! Thanks for any advice!

Ugh, I know what you mean about insurance. When I was working it was about the same deal...that seems to be about par for the course as far as premiums, but check out what Oxford and Aetna's premiums are...you never know..
*Your husband doesnt get insurance through his temp agency? How odd. Typically, they all offer it now.
As for CHP, my husband's cousin has her son on that - her and her husband's insurance is separate, and she seems really happy with it. I dont see an issue with it myself, but does your pediatrician accept it, or would you have to find a new Doctor?
