Recommend a vineyard

I have never visited any vineyards in AZ. I'd like to venture out and see what's out there. What would you recommend?

     x2 on this!

I know there are some in Jerome, but don't know much about them besides the leader singer of Tool owning one...

  • I have not been to the AZ Stronghold Vineyard yet (but it's on my to-do list!!)

However, I have had the wine, and I really liked the Tazi (it's a mix of a few different styles of white wines, and I really liked it).  They have several red wines too, which I have heard are very good, but I'm not a red wine drinker, so I haven't tried them myself.

When I looked up info on that particular vineyard on their website, it seemed really cool (and I also really like Maynard of Tool, so I was intrigued in that sense).  So, that would be my recommendation!  :)

  • yeah my friend kristen is a super wine freak, so she's the first person i thought of to ask when i saw this thread lol. i'm sure both of those places are really good

  • We've been to Alcantera a few times.  It's a little outside of Sedona.  There are also a couple other ones up north that we haven't visited yet, but plan to sometime soon.

I just went up to Alcantera with my friend the weekend of my 30th b-day and it was so much fun. And the wine was pretty good... and I'm not even a wine drinker... SO YUMMY!

  • If you want to venture to Southern AZ to Elgin and Sonotia Four Monkey Winery was my Favortie...but there is over 7 wineries in that area. I would not suggest to go in the summer though, it would be a hot drive.

If you want to venture to Northern at  check out Page Springs Winery, just north of Cottonwood could be on your way to Jerome. Good for the summer to get out of the heat.

We recelly got married surrounded by the vineyards in Page Springs/Cornville AZ

    Have fun!
