I responded to the Ottobre post, but you didn't reply
My feelings are hurt (I kid, I kid).
Anyhow, what I said, since the post is buried now, is ...
I love both outfits on the Let's Play Home set. Of course I am a ruffles and bows kindof mom
I love the keyhole top (but it starts at 98cm). It wouldn't be that hard to replicate, but having the pattern is kindof the point of the mag eh?
I love the elephant shirt too! I can't decide if I like the big circle pocket on the "Bake a Cake" page or not. They are unique, but I think LA's frame is too small for such a bold look. I do NOT like the bloomer/leggings thing though. They look like Oompa Loompa pants to me.
If LA were younger, I would be all over the overalls in the No Better Place On Earth page. I am a sucker for overalls and those are really sweet with all the shirring.
What is striking your fancy in this issue?
Re: Hey Cmeon----
Hi! I have been pretty in and out lately- speed posting- bad me!
I agree with everything you said- those pants/leggings things are just awful! LOL!
I love both tunic and the shirt and dress on the Let's Play Home pages. REALLY love the tunic, but, yeah, I'll have to tweak that down if I want to make it this year. The elephant shirt is fun- I'm not sure if I can make it work for Gabe or if I'll have to wait for Gwen.
The circle pockets on that dress kind of intrigue me- there's a hoodie/pullover fleece thing for boys in an older edition that has big circle pockets and I think it's really cute- not sure if they work on the dress the same way, though. You're right- very bold look.
I don't know if I can get away with the overalls- she feels too grown-up for them, I'm afraid. Boo. They are really cute, though! I may do the dress that uses the top of the pattern.
I will try the new raglan sleeved l/s tee for Gabe- it looks much more narrow than the older one (which was WAY too wide on him). I really like some of the baby stuff, too- someone needs to have one- for real! We have the sweetest cousin who was married the year before us and found out recently that they've been dealing with infertility. She was pregnant a few months ago and ended up having a miscarriage- my heart is just broken for them. So, I'm really hoping to hear that they're expecting again- I'm going to go NUTS making them baby things- they're the type that appreciate it! Whee!
I think the circle top would be cute on a 5+ yo. I can see my Kinders wearing that top and loving the pockets.
Sorry to hear about your cousins' struggles. Hopefully there will be lots of babies to sew for soon
We need some new baby stuff on the board!
