do we like denim skirts?

Specifically this one:

(Without the suede loafers, obvs.)  I kind of like it but then I think maybe it's like 10 years too late.

Re: do we like denim skirts?

  • I haven't seen people wearing denim skirts for at least the past two spring/summer seasons. I know I have one from a few years ago when they made a comeback. To me, a denim skirt falls in and out of "trend" every few years.

Having said that, I do like that skirt especially since it is the darker denim wash.

  • I think it's cute. But I'm not the most trendy person these days. If I like something, I wear it.

  • I have one I bought a couple years ago, similar to the one in the picture, a dark denim and short.  I still wear it, but like whines, I'm hardly a trendy person, for the most part my entire wardrobe is jeans and shirts.
  • Since jeans never go out of style, I think denim skirts don't either.

  • I was going to say, I didn't think denim skirts ever went out of style but another one here that is not that trendy.  I like that one in particular - love pencil skirts.

  • ditto pps. I can't pull off a pencil skirt (thankyouhips) but I think if you treat it like jeans, as DC said, you can cute it up with a top and flats and make it work. Just no additional denim (you know, like a shirt, or a godforbid a vest); that's never in style. Big Smile

Ha! I believe jeans with a jean jacket is called a Canadian Tuxedo.

I htink you're right! I couldn't remember the reference -- all I coul dthink of was "Full Cleveland" which is white shoes and belt (I think).

So - yay! - get the skirt and rock it!

  • I have one that's a similar cut & color and I love it. I just wore it the other day, and I thought I looked cute. Of course, like everyone else, I am not exactly the trendiest person in the world.

I am planning to wear it Saturday, with a cute top, to a wine tasting. I'll let you know if I get compliments or the side eye. Big Smile

  • Yes That's really cute! I wear my denim skirt every so often to work on Fridays with a nice top and either ballet flats or flat sandels.
