Help - Dinner Sunday

We are meeting my sister and her new fiance for dinner on Sunday.  We thought about the East Village but where we want to go is not open on Sunday.  So I am looking for suggestions.  Our "go-to" places are Gino's, Centro, Flemmings, 801 and El Rodeo...so I am looking for something different....any thoughts?

Preferred location would be Ankeny/Downtown/West Des Moines.

TIA!

  • ranallo's in ankeny is good!

i know it's not in the area you mentioned, but we really like aunt maudes in ames as well.

  • Splash is great downtown for seafood, and Django is a cool french restaurant that would be good for that kind of meeting, another place if you like going to El Rodeo would be Dos Rios downtown, very cool upscale Mexican restaurant with a huge patio area.

  • Samurai!!  This is my new favorite restaurant.  After dinner you can head to the Cheesecake Factory for dessert.  :)
