Ha! you're lucky that I've been checking out the buying a home board lately and decided to pop over here to see what's going on.
We are so excited that our house sold! And in less than 30 days!! We're so glad to be putting this chapter behind us and starting a new one/ You are right that we put an offer on a new house and after brief negotiations the offer was accepted. We close both houses on Aug 5th and will move into the new one on the 12th. The house is ~1600 sqft with half the basement finished bumping it closer to 2200 sqft. There's still a good chunk of the basement that basically needs to be dry walled and carpeted and it's finished too, so that's a project for us down the road. It's in a nice quite neighborhood and is just under 3 miles to work (horray!!!). There's a few things we want to do to the house such as a small amount of painting and changing fixtures since everything is brass and oak (built in 1997) and is bordering on looking dated. Still, it's not a lot of work to do, and it'll be fun picking out new lights, curtains, towel rods, that sort of thing.
Our inspection is tomorrow morning so I'll be taking pictures and posting some on facebook so our family can see it. Keep an eye out for them if you'd like to take a look too.
How are you doing, did your H get that promotion? (sorry, it's been a while!)
