Knitters--Cha Cha Trendsetter's yarn

Do I knit it stockinette or garter for the best ruffles on a 12 stitch wide scarf?

TIA

Re: Knitters--Cha Cha Trendsetter's yarn

  • I'm not familiar with this yarn, but are you working with a pattern?

Either way, Ravelry is probably your best resource.   You can search for the specific yarn/pattern you're using and browse other people's projects.  You might get good tips from their notes or pictures, but if you still have questions, you can send a message directly to someone who's worked with that pattern or yarn and would know a good deal about it.

That said, I'm not a fan of garter stitch, especially with bulkier yarns.  Solely based on personal preference, I would go with stockinette.

  • I think you'd knit in garter since it's a scarf - otherwise all of the fabric will be on one side and it'll have a "back" side.
