Ok so I'm trying to make this...
http://millemakes.wordpress.com/2011/05/22/something-pretty-the-pattern/
I'm stuck on how to make these petals. I thought I was doing it correctly but it when I got to the third row there wasnt a place for me to put the petals.
It says to:
make 1 flower petal in each sc with chain 3 between each one, end round with slip st in 3rd chain at beginning of round = 8 petals
Does that mean that I should count the chain three as part of the 5 double crochet? (so 4 double crochet)? Or is it 5 double crochet with a chain three in between?
I've tried it three different times and it just looks like a big puffy yarn mess.
Re: Crochet pattern help...
I usually have to work a pattern to say for sure, but there definitely has to be 3 single chains between the petals because that is where you will put the petals for the third row.
So you will make 5 dc, do the weird thing where you take the loop off the hook and join the dc's to make a petal and then sc three times before you start the first of 5 dc in the next spot.
This video is kind of similar when you get to the yellow row. I hope that helps you visualize what you need to do. Good luck. It should be very pretty!
