We are hosting a dessert party for my grandparents anniversary. I need help coming up with a menu. I would like it to be a some what over the top dessert party! We are sending out around 70 so around 150 people being invited! 8pm is the time we have set. So... What would you do for a menu?
Thanks!

Catered or homemade? (I'll link to a million recipes for you if you're DIYing, but no need if you're just looking for catering ideas.)

We are makng as much as possible but we are getting a smallish cake made by the lady who did my wedding cake. (going to try to get a replica of my grandparents wedding cake )
It is Sept 10.
I would do 3-4 separately themed stations.

Gourmet S'mores Bar:
With different kinds of chocolate bars and toppings
A Love is Sweet candy bar with containers for people to take the candy home with them.
Mini Dessert Station with mini cupcakes, mini trifles, cake or pie pops, mini tarts, bar cookies cut small:

And simple Hors d'oeuvre Station...there is such a thing as too many desserts. You dont want people falling in to a diabetic coma. I've done too many event to know you can not skip this one:
Mini Fruit Kabobs & Vegetable Display:

Cheese & Cracker Plate:

I would also have a self serve coffee station set up with chilled milk.
I did a dessert party for 30 and it was hellish--so many desserts, especially the kind you'd have at a dessert buffet, are individually prepared: truffles, chocolate-covered fruit, cupcakes, cakepops, stuff in shot glasses or or mini bowls, whoopie pies, etc.
For 150 people, you need to be think about bars (like the ice cream bar or s'mores bars pps have posted), desserts you can make en masse like pans of brownies, cookies, chocolate fondue and vats of mousse or pudding, or buying all of it.
