My patio is about 8 x 30 and gets full sun from 7am until about 1:30.
I have flowers and herbs planted in clay pots along the borders and two barrel size post with 2 tomato plants in each.
The Northern most pot is growing like a weed, some green tomatoes already and it appears to be healthy.
The Southern most post is still short but has a few green tomatoes but it's pretty short.
The latter has some kind of growth popping up. It looks like "toadstools" but there is no way for a fungus to be there. I'm on the third floor so no connection with other plants.
What could these toadstools be caused by and should I just pick them out of the pots?
Sorry, I know this is probably a dumb question but I'm kind of new at this.
Thanks for any advice you have!
Re: Tomato plants in buckets, a problem
I'm sorry, I'm using an old POS laptop and it won't post
I'm pretty sure that they are toadstools but very white and large
I'm not sure how there could be the spores in the middle of NYC and on the third floor to boot.
I picked them off so we'll see what happens now.
Thanks for your advice
yeah, I guess that was a pretty dumb thought. I have them now and then.

Nice to see you're still up and about.
I saw a pretty spread on balcony gardens in the NYT and thought of you.
"The meek shall inherit the earth" isn't about children. It's about deer. We're all going to get messed the fuckup by a bunch of cloned super-deer.- samfish2bcrab
Sometimes I wonder if scientists have never seen a sci-fi movie before. "Oh yes, let's create a super species of deer. NOTHING COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG." I wonder if State Farm offers a Zombie Deer Attack policy. -CaliopeSpidrman
Hey!
I seriously doubt that my patio was included in the NYT
