Seattle and Vancouver recommendations
Hi ladies,
We're heading out for a trip to Seattle and Vancouver soon and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on where to go/what to do while we're out there. We're open to heading out of the city a little, but we won't have a car so it'd have to be somewhere we could get to with public transportation.

Everything the light touches is my kingdom.
There's the Seattle Asian Art Museum, which is in the old museum building (really cool art deco). There's a conservatory next to it and you can get to it easily by bus. There's also the Seattle Art Museum, and seconds on the aquarium. Close to the space needle is the rock and roll experience/museum, which is kind of cool. If you can get away to Mount Ranier or Olympic National Park for a day for hikes, do it!
Eat tons of seafood. It's SO good out there, especially dungeness crab.
We were actually completely unimpressed with the Music Experience Project. But if you like Jimmy Hendrix or Nirvana a lot, you'll probably want to check it out. I can definitely see really liking it if you're big into that type of music.
Definitely recommend Mt Rainier and the Olympics too. Lake Quinault rain forest (part of Olympic National Forest) is really awesome. Mt. Rainier still had a ton of snow last month, but I bet a good amount has melted by this point.

Don't forget about Deception Pass - it was featured on The Ring. It connects the main land to Whidbey Island and has the best seafood out there - Seabolts. They catch everything fresh and have their own deli on sight.
We stayed in the Ramada about 5 blocks from Pike's Place, and 6 from the Needle. I agree with J&K, The Music Experience was not what I was hoping for. DH loved it, I was bored.
We loved walking along the piers and visiting the fun little shops, Pike's Place, and the Aquarium. We had lunch on one of the piers at The Crab Pot. It was a fun experience, but I suppose you can get that at Joe's Crab Shack.
