Job search for international move

Hi everyone,

I'm new to the nest but I was wondering if anyone had any insight/advice about this. My husband and I are living in Japan but we want to move home. We have to tell our jobs here 5 months in advance that we'll be leaving which means its nearly impossible to have a job lined up to help us make that decision.

My husband has a general business bachelors and I have a bachelors in teaching English as a foreign language. My husband needs to start working in his own field and I would like to become a legit teacher in the states.

We have so much to decide and we're completely blind over here. All I hear is that the job situation in the states is bad. When we leave Japan we'll have to find a place to live, jobs, and a teacher training program all at once! How do you shop for a place to live with 0 income? How do you job hunt if you don't know where you're living? How do I start working as a teacher (we need the income) if I don't have the requirements yet? The real kicker is that we're still paying school loans so we'll need some income before the first 6 months back in the states is up. We can't save enough money for longer than that.

Any advice is welcome!

Thank you so much!
