selfish sewer... tell me I'm not alone!

I bought some great fabric with the intention to sew a few gifts for some ladies I know who are pregnant (some I'm not that fond of but have to give gifts to because they are family) .... now that it is time to actually use the fabric I want to save it for myself! I don't have kids yet but DH and I are going to start trying soon and I can't make myself use it for them haha Please tell me I'm not the only one that buys fabric with someone else in mind but keeps it for themselves.  I am still making/ buying them gifts of course but just not with this fabric! haha

Not alone! I do that all the time! I've got to REALLY love someone to use some of my "special fabric" for them!

I have a hard time just using the fabric for myself.  I'm a fabric hoarder.

 What fabric did you get to make the gifts?  Could you get some more for yourself?

I do the same thing! But more recently DH will remind me that I can go get more of it to put into my "Me, me, me!" stash. And you bet I do!

haha whew! now I don't feel so bad! I can get some of the fabric but a few of them I got when I went to NYC for the day.  I don't know when I'll be able to go up again or if they'll have them when I go.

I;m a fabric hoarder AND a yarn hoarder. Much of the fabric hoarding, is for a daughter I may not even be able to conceive (and we've decided our next baby will be team green, so I'd have to make her quilt, taggie, etc, etc after she was born).  Because, you see, with a hyper small son, I already have tonnnnns of time to sew. :-P
