Hey girls! It doesn't matter that my feet are killing me and I just want to take a bath, I can't not post immediately after the dishes are done lol.

What worked
Spicy grilled pork with blackberry mustard Incredible and super easy - adding it to my fave pile. I used this recipe for jerk seasoning.
"Squash casserole for people who hate squash" - pureed squash, cheese, crushed ritz crackers, whipping cream, butter - what's not to love? And I loathe squash, but it's what's in season, so I went with it and I'm glad I did.
Classic pound cake
Peach sangria OMG good.
What didn't
Heirloom tomatoes with vinaigrette and fresh mozzarella
Potato salad Overwhelming vinaigrette dressing

And someday, someday before I'm 50, I will get all the food out in a timely manner without needing 4 guests to act as sous chefs It'd be so much easier if DH were here! I had to default to my standard apps because I ran low on time.

It was just about $200 for everything, including the 6 yards of fabric to make the tablecloth, flowers, and pretty paper plates.
Re: Dinner Party Review
Gorgeous! Your desserts look amazing.

Love it! The desserts look beautiful. Well everything looks beautiful.
Where is this squash casserole? We are about to get a bajillion squash from the garden and I will need ideas.
Also, do you sew your tablecloths? I've been keeping an eye out. but I may need to make them.
Go to page 52 here. There's an error in the directions - you'll see in the ingredient list on the right column that it calls for cheese, eggs, cream, sugar, etc - but it never directs you to use them. I just mixed them and dumped them in. I skipped the bread crumb topping for time and just counted on the crushed Ritz in the body to do the trick, which it did.
Earlier in the chapter, the author describes the recipe as, "the best squash casserole on the planet earth (from fabulous Houston hostess Nancy Peterkin, who has no less than four kitchens in her home)."
I also used 2.5 lbs of squash instead of the 2 and it filled a 13x9 casserole perfectly. (It calls for whatever that odd size dish one size down is.)
I stitch witch'd this one. It was my first tablecloth. I hate to rent tablecloths because they're like $15 for my size, so for double that I can get my own. I also have an odd-ball size table, so ready-mades are either 8" too short or 10" too long.
