How was your weekend?

We were very busy.  I got a ton of stuff done (started prepping my diapers!!!!)  I feel like I still have so much to do though.  I am already looking forward to next weekend.

Re: How was your weekend?

  • Yay for diaper prepping!!

Weekend was OK. Went to Salem on Saturday and just walked around. Nice, but tiring. Wrangled a toddler all day Sunday while DH went to a practice in Braintree. I need a nap.

The weather was great this weekend! We were in Maine and it was gorgeous!

My dog even went swimming (totally out of despair though-- he had been in the house panicking and I let him out before I went in the lake-- he followed me in because he was so upset with being away from us that he didn't realize he was swimming until we all started cheering... then he went and hid in the woods because he was either mad at me for tricking him or freaked out at himself that he actually swam).

  • Diaper prepping! BabyC will be here so soon! WOOHOO!!

We stayed busy. DH and his friend took the canoe out on Saturday morning while my father, BabyE and I drove past a house we're interested in (we're looking at it on Saturday) and then went to lunch. Then we cleaned the house a bit, hung around, and had a few friends over to grill in the evening.

Yesterday my cousin came to visit with her DD, who is only a couple of weeks older than DS. In the evening, the ILs stopped by to visit with DS.

Now it's Monday. If it doesn't rain, we'll go swimming after DS's nap. If it does rain, I guess we'll be staying in!

This is too cute, mesa Smile

What's diaper prepping?  Washing all the CDs?  Or do I not want to know? Haha!

Friday after work we played volleyball with some friends for a couple of hours then hung out over dinner afterwards.  The night went quickly and it was about 11:30pm before we got home; I had no idea it was so late.

Saturday we checked out the Wellesley street fair with my family.  Found myself an evening bag, but really it wasn't that great a fair.  Then we had dinner at my aunt & uncle's.

Yesterday we ran a bunch of errands and then saw Transformers.

As usual, it all flew by too quickly.

I'd rather be rock climbing or playing volleyball

  • Mesa, that is hilarious, heh.

We went to a morning showing of Harry Potter on Satruday, then walked over to the South End for lunch at Picco. (So good!) I had some stuff to return at Talbots, so we wandered around Boylston for a bit, and then walked over to Charles/MGH to head home. I was so sweaty, but it was good to wander around the city. Saturday night, I made beef wellington, which turned out awesome, and we watched Due Date, which was mediocre.  Yesterday, we were lazy - I read a bit, he watched some tv, and then we had homemade quesadillas and sangria.

And here we are again. Sigh.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

  • I ordered a few new dipes and need to prep them when they come in! So much washing! LOL

We went to Charlotte. It was fun, DH did the Nascar Racing Experience and had a blast. It was a very long day for us and it was loud on the track, so DS insisted on being held all day (thank god I brought the Ergo). They only let 4 guys race at a time and he was among the last group!

We had some kickass bbq for dinner that night.

Came home yesterday. Realized our fridge/freezer died on us. Tossed out obscene amounts of food that makes my head hurt. Including about 30 bags of breastmilk I had in the kitchen freezer for DS. *ugh*

I'm trying to cook/use up stuff now since the fridge is still mildly cold, but the rest of it will have to be tossed tonight. So I guess we are eating PB sandwiches and crackers for dinner tonight.

I'm waiting on my LL to call.

Oh my goodness. That is awful. Did you cry? I think it would have been warranted haha

Ha, it was painful. I do have about 1100 oz in the garage freezer. Now, it THAT had gone out, then I would have needed a serious dose of  xanax to calm myself down.

Thank goodness you have so much extra.  That stuff is like gold!

You've got a TON! Especially considering how much you hate pumping!

DS has never been a good bottle eater. So during the day, I have to pump twice at work, so that's about 14 oz of BM there. Well, he'll eat like, 3 oz. Then maybe 4 oz in the afternoon.

So then I have nothing to do with the rest but freeze!

If he was a good bottle eater, I'll bet I wouldn't have this kind of stash!

  • Saturday we went to the farmer's market, walked around Boston a bit, had some Turkish food and then walked around Cambridge to see where DH's new office is. Sunday we saw Harry Potter (amazing!) and did the usual errands/cleaning. NOT looking forward to working the next 8 days straight now!
