Moms - Daycare Options in West Chester, Paoli, Malvern Area
Good Morning Everyone!
I'm starting to search for infant care for the LO to start this January when she is about 6-7 weeks old. We live out past Downingtown and we work in Malvern and Wayne, so somewhere between West Chester and Paoli would be idea. We are definitely going to be looking at the West Chester YMCA since we can join there and also use the YMCA out by us in Brandywine. I would also like somewhere that can accomodate from 6 weeks through kindergarden.
Thanks in advance!
Re: Moms - Daycare Options in West Chester, Paoli, Malvern Area
Disclaimer: I am due with my first baby in about 4 weeks, so I've done research but have not actually used it yet.
I live & work in West Chester, so I was strictly looking for care in this area. I checked with both branches of the WC YMCA about 3 months ago (in town and on Airport Rd). Both had reasonable prices, but told me there was a waiting list until February 2012. I will have to go back to work by the end of November, so this wasn't an option for me. Maybe check with them again to see if anything has changed.
I ended up deciding on The Learning Experience. It's located on the Fern Hill Medical Campus in West Chester. I work for the hospital, so this is very close for me. I have several coworkers who use & love them. Downside - it's not exactly cheap. About $400 more a month than the YMCA. They have good hours (6:30a - 6:30p), very clean, nice staff, don't close for inclement weather, & I can go see my baby at lunch if I want. I'm hoping this will make it worth it. Let me know if you want any other info. Good luck in your search!
We use the KinderCare in Malvern on General Warren Blvd. My son has been there since he was 5 months old and he is now almost 3 1/2. We love it there and any complaints we have had we were able to address and solve very quickly. The teachers are wonderful! They also have a kindergarten program. Good luck!
P.S. They have a referral program so if you tour and decide to go with them if you tell them my name, you would get a free week tuition and so would I.
