  • Little ole' me?  I'm flattered.  Tomorrow should be good...quiet day at work (hopefully) so I'll actually have time to be on here.  I'll try to start a thread tonight if I think of it....

And I'm sorry no one is around to play with you.  And if you still feel like playing:

What is the oldest piece of clothing in your closet that you still wear?

    Favorite brand of jeans?

    Favorite book of all time?

    Favorite color to wear?

What is your earliest childhood memory?

I've been MIA, but I did see recently that you were really stressing/hating work.  Have things gotten any better?

And finally, can you Facebook message me your SP website?  I need to stock up on Coochy:)

What is the oldest piece of clothing in your closet that you still wear? I have several tshirts from college still tha tI refuse to part with until they fall apart.  They are super soft now and I love them!

Favorite brand of jeans? Gap 1969, Sexy boot.  They better not stop making them, because I love them!!

Favorite book of all time? oooh, tricky.  I'm going to have to go with Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein.

Favorite color to wear? 99% of my closet is either some shade of red, purple, or teal.

What is your earliest childhood memory? I very vividly remember the first time I went putt-putting when we were on vacation.  My mom swears I was only 3 or 4 and there's no way I could, but I even remember what I was wearing.

I've been MIA, but I did see recently that you were really stressing/hating work.  Have things gotten any better? Um, a little.  I've started really planning more for the catering business which has given me a "light at the end of the tunnel" feeling.  and doing SP stuff has thrown some more fun money-making in the mix.

And finally, can you Facebook message me your SP website?  I need to stock up on Coochy:) I can't FB at work, but will do when I get home.  And I actually just ordered a bunch of extra summer sized Coochys (8oz with a pump top), should be here any day.  Could probably have it shipped to ya by the end of the week if you want to PayPal me the monies.  Or I can run yoru CC online.  I'll FB you all the info tonight :)

Forgive me if this has already been asked (because I'm too lazy to go back and look), but can you recommend 2-3 books you have read lately (last year, 2 years) that you wish everyone would read?

I'm lacking reading inspiration lately, and need some guidance :)

13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher.  It's techinically a YA book, but it's brilliantly written and truly moving.  Everyone should read it.

My other recommendations are some of my favorite books, but I probably wouldn't go so far to say that "everyone" should read them.  I think many people would enjoy them or learn something from them though

Cooked by Jeff Henderson.  Combines the three things I love the most - a well written book, criminals, and food.  Chef Jeff learns to cook in prison (while doing time for manufacturing crack cocaine), and is now the executive chef at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

Marley and Me.  any dog owner should read this book.  It's everything you've ever loved and hated about owning a dog.  And will make you cry like a baby.  But it's worth it, it's a wonderful book.

Wait, this is a true story? That sounds awesome. I will definitely check that out. I will also accept your Jay Asher rec. I love YA lit.

I have not read Marley and Me, and have not seen the movie. I'm not sure I can handle that. I sob like a baby at the SPCA commercials...I'm not sure I can handle growing to love the dog during the book/movie and then watching what I know is the ending.

yes, Cooked is a true story, it's his autobio.  Excellent story.

And I still challenge you to read Marley and Me.  You don't have to see the movie, but you really should read the book.  It's such a sweet and endearing story.  Yes, sad ending, but it's so touching because of how sweet it is.  It's a tear jerker for sure, so wait til the right time to read it (not on a plane like I was!).  It's just too good of a story to skip altogether.
