Anyone been to Disney World w/ little kids??

We are taking the kids to Disney in September, DD is 3 and DS will be one.  I have not been there in many years and need advice from people who have been there as to what the best things to do with little kids are.

What parks are the best to go?  

Anything we must do or see, activities?

Must restaurants?

What parks are the best to go?  For little ones M.K. is the obvious choice. I'm sure kiddos love A.K. but maybe cannot handle a full day there. Epcot is prob not beloved by the littlest kids as is H.S./MGM.

Anything we must do or see, activities? the entriety of Magic Kingdom, Toy Story mania in H.S., check for the character stops (places to meet&greet and get pics with Disney characters), Turtle Talk with Crush at the Living Seas,

Must restaurants? Any that offer the Character meals?

Definitely ask on the bump board but I will give my thoughts (Daisy22 is an Atlanta bumpie who has taken her boys to Disney many many times and can give you lots of tips).  We were there in January with my nieces who were 3.5 yrs and 6 months at the time.  Obviously, the 6 month old spent most the day in the stroller.  The older one walked a ton and was a trooper the whole trip. 

Take the time to wait in the character lines.  My older niece absolutely LOVED meeting all the characters and getting her little autograph book signed.  Also, watch the parades.  You usually need to scope out a seat along the parade route about 30 minutes before the parade starts but thats a good time to give them a little break. 

At Magic Kingdom most of the rides are little kid friendly.  My niece was too short for Space Mountain but absolutely loved Big Thunder Railroad.  She also loved Dumbo and the Magic Carpets b/c she could control the height of the cars. 

My brother and SIL spent an entire day in Epcot with the kids.  I'm not a big Epcot fan but there are some fun things for the kids there. 

Animal Kingdom has lots of stuff the kids can do also.  My favorite show is The Lion King show.  My niece was mesmerized by it. 

At Hollywood Studios I love Toy Story Mania but I'll admit my older niece had a hard time grasping at the concept of the games.  My brother was able to ride this with the younger niece in the baby bjorn.  My older niece loved the Beauty and The Beast Show.  She even rode Tower of Terror and didn't freak out or anything.  I would also suggest seeing Fantasmic on night, it's a great show. 

There are lots of Character meals to choose from.  I've heard breakfast at the Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom is great but I've never done that.  We did a princess breakfast at Epcot in the restaraunt in Norway that my niece loved.  I love The Garden Grill restaurant in Epcot but they only serve dinner.  I feel like I've gotten the most character attention at that restaurant b/c it's not a huge and overwhelming as some of the others.

Anything we must do or see, activities? Decide if you want to rent a stroller or bring your own.  I think there are pros/cons for either.  With a 1 year old, your own stroller might be easier for naps.  You could bring a small umbrella stroller and rent one for your 3 year old. Def. get one of the Disney wait times Aps for your smart phone if you have one.  Try to catch the night time parade and fireworks at MK even though it will be past bedtime, it is worth it!

Both of my kids love the Character lunch at Crystal Palace w/ Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet and Tigger. 

The Dinosaur Boneyard play ground at AK is really fun.  Also the Kilmanjaro (sp) Safari.  I think the BEST show at any of the parks is the Lion King Show at AK.  They also enjoy the Nemo ride and the Aquarium at the end of it.  Turtle Talk with Crush is pretty cool too.  Wait....I think the Nemo ride is at Epcot.  Sorry.
