What is your favorite recipe for....

sangria?

I have only made it once and it wasn't great.  Do any of you ladies have a tried and true recipe for this yummy drink?

Re: What is your favorite recipe for....

  • I'm a white wine fan and here is the recipe I use:

1 bottle spanish white table wine or sauvignon blanc

    3 ounces brandy

    2 ounces triple sec

    1 cup orange juice

    1 cup pineapple juice

    2 ounces simple syrup

3 ounces white peach puree (peel & blend ripe peaches is best, but peach nectar from a can works too)

    sliced peaches, apple and orange

Mix it all liquids together and put it in the fridge for 24 hours (I've made it in the morning to serve at night and its not quite as good). Then add the sliced fruit.

  • I use this one: http://www.food.com/recipe/olive-garden-sangria-84548

I add in some triple sec when I have it on hand as well. Just half a cup or so.

  • Forgot to mention that instead of slicing up fresh peaches to toss in at the end, I use frozen ones so I don't have to add ice cubes.
  • I don't use any liquor in mine and it's super easy.

1 bottle of red wine (Cab or Merlot)
1 liter of Lemon Lime Soda
    1 cup of orange juice
1 small can of pineapple juice

Then I add frozen fruits for the "look".  :)  Easy and so yummy!  I serve it over ice.

This sounds good!  I'm going to have to try it!

I've made this version many times with dry red wine and it is fantastic!
