Need ideas for a rotating girls night theme at my house

Wanna do something where i get my girlfriends together either every Sunday or Tuesday night. I need a theme or activity to go on...Some people play cards or watch a girl movie but would like some fun different ideas to keep us laughing and having fun girl talk!

Re: Need ideas for a rotating girls night theme at my house

  • How about you all learn to cook or bake something.  Make a bunch of dips/apps.  Or decorate cakes, cookies and cupcakes.

    HTH!

  • Wine Tasting

  • I love this Favorite Things party idea.
You could change it to one $10 fave item instead of 5 $6 items....or what ever works for you.

    I love this idea!

  • I saw someone do a party themed on cupcakes and champagne and thought it was really cute.
  • We used to do dinner parties with rotating country themes.  Each month the hostess would make food from an assigned country, someone would put together music from that country and everyone else would bring drinks/wine/alcohol from that country.  Start easy (Greece, Mexico, France, China, Italy) and then get harder (Hungary, Russia, Brazil, Ireland).
  • Wine night

    Movie night

    Cards

    game Night

Bartender night (everyone makes a specialty drink)

    80s theme (clothes, movies, etc)

    spa night

    book night

  • Sounds fun, but I will say it will probably be difficult to get everyone together once a week and keep new ideas (if you're really looking for something specific to do each time). The only time we've ever kept a weekly date thing is when we used to get together to watch the Bachelor! Otherwise, we do a once a month girls night and even once per month always seems to come up fast!
  • We have recipe parties.  Each woman brings a homemade dish and printed out recipes (for each party-goer).  We sample everything and then vote on the best, most creative, healthiest, etc.  We even do different themes for this (for example, cookies at christmas, low cal in spring/summer, casserole, appetizers, or themed for the holiday)

We also have wine tasting nights.  Everyone brings a bottle and the hostess brown bags each one and puts a number.  We try all of the wines and then vote for the number we liked best.

  • I do girls night every thursday with two of my girlfriends at one house.  We go to the same place every thursday and one of us chooses a meal to cook for the three of us.  So instead of everyone bringing a meal each week, one of us plans a meal and brings whatever ingredients are needed for that meal and she (picker of the week) cooks.  And we sit around and chat or watch tv and eat.
  • In college my fine arts friends and I did a weekly "Fine Arts Fine Dining."  We would take turns planning a meal and cooking.  We'd do tacos, or crepes, or pasta, or whatever the person cooking came up with.  Then we'd play games afterwards.  We would make our own "Would you rather" cards and hilarity always ensued.
