Well, I just started lurking a couple weeks ago, but I've been checking fairly frequently ever since. 

My name's Steph, I haven't been married too long, 4 months as of tomorrow. While I thoroughly enjoy having other people over to cook for, having just moved to Arkansas from Canada to marry H, I know absolutely no one here, and H really only has a couple work friends (he's only been here about a year, and I'm still waiting for permission from the gov't to work, so I don't even have those). So I get my fix from lurking here

Tarheels, you know me...although I haven't been around any part of the nest in quite a while. I've been super busy with all sorts of stuff, but today I'm working in my parents' office, answering phones. It's slow-and boring-so I've been trying to amuse myself with online window shopping and reading some posts. I have very little to contribute, as I haven't done any entertaining (or decorating) in awhile, so here I sit.

 At any rate, I'm hopey...married 5 1/2 years, dance teacher in both a private studio and the public schools, hailing from Virginia.

I've been married since April 2010 and I'm a wedding planner. DH and I are both 26...no kids and no plans for kids for a few years. Trying to get a handle on some credit card debts and student loans...ugh!

I have lurked here for a while...Tar you recommmended a funny book a year or so ago... the Sweet Potato Queens...LOL loved it. I work in the party business and help people plan their parties.  I am also a member of a volumteer organization that helps a group who  holds their events at an outdoor venue with no access to water, electricity etc.... so I sometimes come here for ideas to see what others are doing.

I am married and have a houseful of pets. I spend alot of time on my local board as well as pets, D&R ( I almost became an Interior decorator) as well as the entertainment board.

My name is 6.  I have reading comprehension problems, but do my best.  I do my best with food, but am working really hard to up the decor.  I blame my lack of creativity on the fact that I am a recovering engineer.

I've been married for 6 years and am turning 36 this year.  It's the year of the 6!  (I also have stupid jokes).   I have two kids and stay home with them.  Sometimes my responses are spelled wrong or worded funny.  This is because I tend to read the boards while nursing my youngest.

My next event I'll take food to is our family reunion.  I'm also starting to think about a 3rd bday party.

I have only been lurking on this board for a week or so but I love it already. It is right up my alley as I love planning and hosting parties.

 I have been married since August 2009 we live in the Dayton, OH area.  DH is 25. I am 24. No kids yet but we are hoping for one by next year. 

 I am mainly on my local board but I also am on the travel and entertainment boards.

Dont think I ever intro'd here but can't remember since I go on a few other boards as well.  I live in the suburbs of Chicago and hate the winters here but love the summer.  I'll be 29 soon (& dreading 30).  I'll be married for 5 years this Dec but been with H since I was 17.  I always said I never wanted to be pregnant after 30 and we are thinking we probably dont want kids.  We havent ruled it out 100% but I'm def leaning that way.  We have 2 dogs and that seems to be perfect for us! 

I love to cook and entertain.  I dont particularily like baking but will do it occasionally.  I have come to enjoy smaller dinner parties more than large parties because I get more talk/mingle time with my guests.  I obviously love wine, though cant have more than 2-3 glasses without feeling it the next am and I dont do hangover well. at all.  My fav is pinot noir.  I am dying to get out to Napa sometime- if I'm lucky it'll be my 30th BDay trip!

Live in Minnesota. Work in sports PR. Got married in 2008. No human kids. One big mutt. Giant house.

Because of the giant house, we've become entertainment central among our group of friends & family. I really don't mind, I love hosting parties. The fact that our house is set up really well for entertaining is part of the reason we bought it.

I'm usually on my local board and MM, and occasionally on BAH, D&R, and here.

Hi! I don't entertain a ton, but I am sort of from the school of "go big or go home!" When I do host, I like to go all out, especially around holidays! (well actually any holiday) I have been married for 4 yrs, and we have a 1 yr old DD. Looking forward to planning all of these new, over the top kids bday parties

I think I got my love of entertaining from planning my wedding. We did our wedding by ourselves, so we obviously were very involved in every aspect. From then I just developed a love of themes and color combos, food, decor, favors, yada yada. ...

I always love reading your menu planning, and I think it is great you have dinner parties!

Hi!  I'm Casandra, and I lurk from time to time as I'm planning stuff and need ideas.  I've been lurking recently as I'm working on my DH's 29th birthday next Saturday.  Simple apps and dessert (starting at 7:30 PM) with no more than 8 people and am looking for ideas.  We have small dinner parties from time to time, but nothing over the top since we have a 650 sq foot 1 bedroom apt.  I love having people over, and when we eventually have more space, I'd like to host larger parties more often.
