Dress Up A To A Breaker Panel

The apartment we live in has a breaker panel next to the front door. We are trying to find a way to decorate around it or camoflauge it or something. We've been looking at tapestries, which would cover it and allow access, but their so expensive!

Anyone have an idea?

Re: Dress Up A To A Breaker Panel

  • I did a handpainted banner for a baby's door that could work...something like "Welcome" perhaps. I don't have a photo of it yet but it hung from a ribbon attached to a dowel and really cute!
  • What about a stretched canvas.

You could DIY something appropriate for an entry...something welcoming, a monogram using dimensional letters, or even a pretty decal of some sort applied to it, and they are lightweight so moving it would be easy.

  • In my other house the panel was in the kitchen.  I just hung a picture over it.  And if we needed access took the picture down.

yup, ours is in the bedroom so I just hung a picture over it.  It can be a little tricky because it usually bumps out a bit, but there are special things you can use to help the picture hang a little ways from the wall (just ask at a framing store).
