I swear DH has alzheimer's

Background story: My summer "job" means that my schedule is really fluid and not predictable. But I have my calendar online and it is synced with his phone so he knows where I'm going to be and when.

Story: For the past week, he has been royally screwing up which day of the week it is and when what is happening. I often forget what day it is since I work from home for most of it, so he has been messing me up. He is also messing up the order of events. Today he woke me up at 6AM and asked me what time I had to be in Mass. I'm not going out of state until tomorrow and it is only to NH (not Mass). He has been doing similar acts of forgetfulness for the past week. Every. Single. Day. I'm supposed to pick him up from work at 6PM tonight. What do you bet I pass him on my way with him coming home and me going out like we're supposed to be doing tonight.

And he says that if/when I get pregnant he'll be worried about me and baby brain. Dang, he has the sympathetic baby brain down hardcore. *sigh*

Re: I swear DH has alzheimer's

  • DH is really forgetful (like, we have a conversation and two hours later he's forgotten what we discussed), but dang.  It sounds like he's confused about what week it is.  Is there something at work that he's really caught up in right now?
  • It does sound like he should be the one worried about brain drain!  Is he usually like this or does he have something on his mind? Regardless, I'd be irritated by all the confusion!
  • I have no clue what is going on. I'm usually the one forgetting my own name and he's certainly taken the trophy from me lately. Hopefully it gets better or we are definitely screwed in the future.
