Using Pinterest to promote your craft business??
I have a pinterest board, well several "boards" I have been collecting ideas for the girls' birthday, outfits, etc
But, can/should I pin my own stuff onto my boards and hope it generates some interest to my own etsy shop.
I mean, I know I CAN do it, but SHOULD I do it.
If you have an etsy business, do you pin your own stuff?
Re: Using Pinterest to promote your craft business??
There was a discussion about this on the cooking board awhile back, regarding promoting blogs, but same idea.
I agree with them, that it is not the forum for self promotion.

Avoid Self Promotion
Pinterest is designed to curate and share things you love. If there is a photo or project you?re proud of, pin away! However, try not to use Pinterest purely as a tool for self-promotion.
And I don't have a shop, but I have a couple of blogs, and I've never pinned my own projects, recipes or posts.

I don't pin my craft stuff - but I did pin a few pictures of my flowers so I can figure out what to plant in my garden for next year. They weren't great pics so I don't really expect anyone else to repin them or like them, they're just for me.
