What's everyone doing to beat the heat?
I am running out of sleeveless shirt/skirt combos that are appropriate for work! Woe is me.
I have not yet turned on my a/c this year, but I am thinking I might have to on Thursday night. We only have it in the kitchen/dining room so usually I just put on fans and deal with it. Last summer when it was hot I used to go out shopping every night and enjoy the a/c in my car and the mall. Haha.
I'm heading to the beach this weekend.
Re: heat wave
I'm thanking DH every day for getting us a pool pass in our apt complex.
DD wants to go outside every.single.day. We just got back from a walk of the grounds
Our little Irish rose came to us on March 5, 2010
Don't drink the water.

We have an a/c on the first floor, but it is open concept so it don't cool down too much. Just enough to take the edge off. And we have one in our bedroom so we can sleep at night. We live right by the town lake and I plan to go swimming after work the next couple days.
My building at work is really cold. I always wear a sweater.
Our townhouse has central A/C, and since I'm not working, it's going all day. A little scared when the next electric bill comes in. Being from FL, I live off of A/C. I'll avoid going outside unless I need to.
We are going to Ogunquit for the weekend, so I am super excited, and looking forward to spending time at the beach and the hotel pool
Oh, that's the worst. I had a POS car when I first starting working, and the A/C was broken, the driver side window was stuck (up at least), and it would overheat on the highway. (I was commuting Springfield to Hartford each day.) So I would inevitably be stuck in traffic with the heat blasting and sucking on fumes from the passenger side window on the hottest days of the year. I don't miss that at all!
We leave the A/C on during the day because it gets pretty stuffy in our apartment otherwise. Fortunately, we have the one where you can set the temperature, and I leave last, so I turn it up to 72 and put it on energy saver. We sleep with the A/C on in the bedroom, too. My husband prefers it to the open window, and since the dog barks at every noise he hears, it's a losing battle. I'd much rather be cold than hot anyway, so I guess it's fine. Though I am not looking forward to our electric bill.
