We want to install hardwood floors in our house. The foyer has them but we'd like to do the rest of the first floor. Does anyone have any recommendations for 1) places to order the wood or 2) installers? We are in south Lyon if that makes a difference. We're on the fence about installing them ourselves so if you have any input one way or the other on doing that, I'd love to hear it! TIA!
Re: hardwood floors
I would call hardwoodfloor proz.
they refinished our floors and a couple of our friends. they also do installs. I would check their price for instal only (maybe getting material at lumber liquidator) and pricing the material and instal with them for a comparison.
They are very good

Launstein in Mason, MI. Beautiful products, any mix of work from DIY (they have good advice if you want to do that) to hire it all done and levels in between - they have a list of installers. I'm familiar with a house with Launstein floors. It was built 12 years ago, is just now starting to look like it may need refinishing. Has survived people, dogs, sandy soil in the yard.
