I've been thinking about getting bangs/fringe. It's so damn hot here though, that I would have to wait a couple more months for it to cool down. I had bangs until I was 16 yrs old and then grew those suckers out. I was thinking maybe some mild ones, not super full. I've just had the same hair cut for years now and need some change but still keep my length.
What do you all think? I feel like they're possibly coming back? It would be basically just for the fall and winter, then start growing them back out during spring for summer.
Re: To Bang or not to Bang..
I am debating the exact same thing myself! I actually canceled my July haircut appointment because well, 1) it wasn't in the budget and it wasn't totally necessary and 2) I wanted to wait until fall so I can contemplate bangs. Like you, I can only do bangs in fall/winter.
Bangs are definitely in, no doubt. Especially the long, sideswept ones. What about just getting long layers/angle in the front with some long bangs? You can always take them shorter if they aren't the true "bang" you were looking for.
I go back and forth but pretty much I always have some sort of bang. Its an easy change to make without cutting your hair. If you don't want anything heavy start with a subtle side sweep bang. Then if you want more you can cut it. This is something you could do now if you wanted. A really heavy straight bang would be too much for summer I think.
And I just read Laura's response. Great minds!

I've had the side swept ones since growing the reg bangs out. I was thinking more like the one of the left:

Why not give them a try? Like Cathy said, you can always just grow them out. It won't take long for them to reach long-sideswept length again. Also, these days you can so much to disguise them if you hate them. Twist the back into a little bump, braid them out of the way, etc. A far cry from when I was a little girl growing out bangs, and all I had was a headband to push them back with, with all the ends sticking out everywhere!
This is very true. Definitely should wait to get that under control and then think about it! I'm thinking maybe oct, I will do it. Maybe go a little darker for the winter as well.

See my bangs will fall on my forehead but they get greasy. It drives me nuts. I don't care for much product in my hair. That's the one thing I hate about my bangs. But I do think they are cute.

Have you ever tried baby powder? It absorbs the grease. And since you have blond hair it won't make your hair look funny. When I had bangs, I used to carry it in my purse lol!
I have and it works great. While I was at Target this afternoon I picked up a little travel size to put in my purse. I've been meaning to and kept forgetting to buy one.
