Random decorating complaint

I wish that all these designer sale sites sold cool rugs that weren't wool. Like this on the Foundary:

I love that. It would be really cute in Michael's room. But it's hand-tufted wool and Lex believes that it is his job to re-kill the rug, just in case it might still be attached to a live sheep. He is in the long-slow process of killing our foyer rug that DH purchased without clearing with me first (design wise-it's fine, but I told him immediately that if it was wool, kiss it goodbye. Of course he complains about it being ripped up every day, but I did warn him.), and each morning it looks differently shredded, requiring maintenance on my part. Others can't tell, mostly because I've already cleaned up the small pile of "hand tufted" rug carcass left from his midnight prowl.

Anyway, just a peeve. I always check out the super cute rugs and want them, but wah. Polyester ones are never as cute.

I know the situation isn't funny, but the way you described it definitely is.  Is there no anti-cat force field spray you could apply?

LOL I wish. I considered putting a large beach blanket over it every night, but that's kind of silly. Especially since he'd just wait til the morning and tear it up then. Or crawl under it. I mean, it obviously needs to die.

Haha. I feel your pain. Brodie used to scratch at everything attempting to make a bed and circle a few times before he laid down. Sometimes I think he thought he was a cat. He totally wrecked our interior front door rug doing this. I'd try and cut all the frayed parts down and make it look normal, but it still always looked fuzzy.
