How have you handeld yours? We had no problems last year with them. Saw a few in our yard before the garden really took off and then nothing. We put some mesh fencing around just in case but not a problem. This year is the opposite. Two days ago I found a couple of cherry tomatoes eaten and put the mesh fencing up again. The groundhog mangaged to move it and ate a good number of tomatoes and over half my lettuce. Secured the fencing more, bought a trap and today the bugger went past the trap and found an opening in the fence. Took another tomato. I read about making a mixture of hot sauce and water & spraying on the plants and surrounding area. Has anyone tried this. Have also thought about getting motion lights as a way to scare them. Anyone have any other tips? I would hate to lose my garden.
