Thankful Thursday
I'm thankful that the dress code at my office is pretty relaxed in the summer, so I can wear sleeveless shirts and flip flops and fit right in.
I'm thankful that this heat means I can save 10 minutes in the morning by not blow drying my hair.
I'm thankful that my garden is growing and hopeful that soon I will have vegetables to harvest for dinner every night. We had our first straightneck squash this weekend and cooked it on the grill and it was amazing. I can't wait for more.
I'm thankful that it's Thursday, which means tomorrow is Friday and then it's the weekend!

and my incredibly loving coworkers for the shower they threw me last night... and I'm thankful for DH because he's been awesome.

I'm thankful to have had so much time with my grandfather these last few years. He and my grandmother and the fact that they were getting on in years were definitely big factors in my decision to move back from CA. It was absolutely the right call.
I'm thankful to have so much family here and that we can all lean on each other at times like this.
I'm thankful for A/C in the office that keeps the temperature just right.
And I agree that I'm so thankful that it's almost Friday!
LadyE, I'm glad you got some good news! And Rock, I'm glad you have family surrounding you. It's such a difficult thing to go through. Be sure to take care of yourself in the coming weeks; I've found the grief hit me hardest when all of the activity died down.
I'm thankful that it's almost time to go home, because it has been a long, less-than-great day here. And I'm thankful that the presentation I spent all day worrying about is over.
I'm thankful that my best friend from home is planning a visit here in a few weeks. It's been too long since I've spent any time with her.
I'm thankful that I have a husband who loves me so much he not only puts up with my nonsense, he does the happy puppy dance when I get home from work. And I'm thankful that we have an adorable pooch to join in, heh.

And after lurking on some major Bump drama today... I am also thankful that our board is so drama free. Hopefully that won't jinx us and no one's ears are ringing LOL
I lurk on various boards when I'm bored, and holy crap! the Bump has been out of control lately. The CPS thing actually inspired me to email and deactivate this account and come up with a non-initial based screenname, since this one is the beginnings of an email address I have. (Well, that and the fact that I'm job hunting, sort of, and I don't want this stuff to show up if I get googled.) And now I need to come up with something creative, which I'm clearly not. You know, since I just used my initials and all.
My old sn had my first name in it. I didn't know that you could email the Nest and ask them to change it, so I just stopped using it and made this new one.
My sn is from 30Rock.
OK, now my nosy ass needs a link, please.
You can't change an existing screen name as far as I know; you've always had to sign up with a new email address and name. Have they changed that policy?

And yes, they've changed it. But only if you have personal/identifying information in your sn.

ETA: I just finished and...wow. That was so far over the line. And this is yet another reminder that I'm not overly paranoid in being vigilant about maintaining some anonymity on the boards.

I am thankful that I got a wonderful night of sleep last night with only one trip to pee in the middle of the night.

Holy craziness on TB - those posts were insane. I feel like I need to get my sn changed now since mine has my maiden name in it. I just have to email the Nest and they'll change it for me?
I know it's already Friday so I'm a day late...but I'm thankful to have friends with a pool that we will be in all day tomorrow. I need some sun!
