I have an interview tomorrow. I am currently in the legal field and the interview is for a similar position to what I do now but more similar to my last job.
I have had a few interviews and I fear that I am not interviewing well (that or I am asking for too much money).
The only thing I can think of is that I do not ask enough questions. For the last few intereviews I have felt that everything I would have asked was addressed: typical job duties, any training that I would need or be provided, expectations, management style.
What am I missing? Any suggestions, input or advice?
TIA!
Re: Interview question
opportunities for advancement
why the position is open (turnover or expansion)
best/worst part of the job
I just saw a video that had some interesting ways to close the interview. Basically along the lines of, "what are the next steps in the interview process and do you see me moving ahead to the next step? Do you see me being a good fit with your team/company?"

are you asking what questions you should ask? Some of the ones I ask are
what do you like best about working here? what do you like least?
what is the company culture like?
And I think you covered the other ones. It's frustrating I know, job hunting sux!
What qualities are you looking for in the person who is in this position?
What type of person is successful in this position/company?
What are the most important skills for the job?
Is there anything in my background that concerns you or that I can expand upon?
What type of projects are typical?
Also agree with PP - What do you like about working here, etc.
When they answer these, I try to follow up with an example of how I line up with what they are looking for. If we already discussed it, just follow up again with "as I was telling you before, at XXX, I managed my time, blah blah blah"
