I guess Alaska isn't a very social state. Since I was curious I looked on the bump too under the Alaska board and there's been like 4 posts ever. And the Alaska board on the knot is just about dead, theres maybe a post like once a month. 

 I say more power to you guys to use this board.

It is too bad cause it is a good idea in theory having a local board but I guess it just doesn't work for Alaska. Not only is Alaska such a huge state to try and group together in one board but its so different from region to region, like I'm in Fairbanks which is so different from Anchorage or Juneau or Haines. So really all we could discuss anyways is general topics so why not include people from all over in it.

Yea and she's had a who ZERO responses over there and she posted that on 7/3.  I don't know why she doesn't just join in?

What bothers me is she has hardly any posts. Clearly she doesn't care unless your from AK. I wonder if we all said yeah we're from AK, and had beachy warm weddings, if she would have joined the fun.

I don't understand why people can be so petty. Its not like shes been posting on this board forever and all of a sudden we took over the board and kicked people off. We are nice to everyone. We are not mean people. As far as Im concerned she can post away over here.

LOL yes she is. Its sad to me that she's so concern with us using this board when she clearly got married in '08 and has not even posted here before. I understand this board "belongs" to the AK girls but there was no one active here when we came. Oo well thanks Lolita for the email hopefully we get our own board soon so that she and anyone else who is not an active poster but is being "affected" by us being here can shove it as far as it can go. And thanks to those who don't mind having us aroung for awhile longer

Good luck with that!  It's a rare message that actually gets a response from that email address. But, who knows, maybe the new admin will be better about it.

I know you said you contacted the powers that be but is there another email address we could use or person we could contact?  It seems to me that if you have a group of people that would like to be here it would be easier to get in touch with someone you know?

Not yet. A new admin is supposed to be starting on Monday, and will be taking over coordinating/supervising/whatnot the message boards as part of their job description. But, since she hasn't started yet, I don't have a direct contact email for her, or do I know her preferred method of contact (email vs. PM). I'd rather not start this girl's first day with a thousand and one emails, otherwise we might NEVER get anything accomplished. Let me try it my way first please, and then we can explore other options. 

For the record, in my request, I have included a link to the post where you were discussing the options for your own board. Let's give the new admin a week or two to get settled, and then I'll address the issue again with her directly.

That's good to know.  I agree it might be bad to bombard someone on their first day.
