Next may or June not to volunteer to teach VBS. Tell me to work with babies, crafts or snacks. I have the older 3's and the way some of those kids acted my mom would have me in the bathroom and busted my butt. One girl tells you "no" and then she will hit you or kick you if she doesn't get her way. She tried to hit me today and I had enough and basically took her by the arm and firmly talked to her. My mom would have busted my butt if I acted that way.
a few of the boys are just definite and are "like what do you want". Yes I get that they are just 3, almost 4, but their actions are pretty uncalled for and rude. I don't know what it is with some kids and their rudeness. Then on the other hand you have the other kids that are in our class that are sweet as can be.
we have a nighttime VBS and I know they get tired but i dont think a lot of their behavior and action is because it is late. I enjoy VBS but these last 2 years have been the worst with kids and their behavior. The kids I babysit never acted like that at their age and so I don't get it.
So remind me next year to volunteer to keep babies, do crafts or snacks. I love kids and would love to teach but these past 2 VBS I question it, but know kids that I have on a regular basic would be somewhat better.
