Re: HHC Week 5 Wrap-Up

  • 1. What did you do and how did you like it? Will you do it again? I didn't do anything because of the heat BUT M promised to take me to the driving range before the end of the summer... so it'll happen eventually.

    2. How are you staying cool and on track? I've actually been tracking my water to make sure I'm drinking enough. And, I've been doing videos/zumba for wii instead of going outside in this grossness.

  • 1. What did you do and how did you like it? Will you do it again? I am ashamed to say that I never actually got around to trying anything new. Steve being gone this week had me all off track so it was just walking in the mornings for me.

    2. How are you staying cool and on track? I'm staying inside as much as possible in my gloriously air conditioned home. The heat makes me want light foods that don't require a lot of cook time so we don't have the heat from the stove and oven for too long. This lends itself nicely to veggie stir fry and other more nutritional options.

Given the heat, the water challenge seems quite appropriately placed. :)

That is my answer exactly. We were supposed to go to the driving range, but the heat was just too ridiculous.

I'm staying cool by staying inside and trying to stay as hydrated as possible! It really is even too warm to go to the beach IMO with a baby.

  • 1. What did you do and how did you like it? I did not try anything new. Tongue Tied  Will you do it again?

    2. How are you staying cool and on track? Most workouts are done at the gym.  If I run outside, it has to be either early or late in the day.  Lots of water either way!

  • 1. What did you do and how did you like it? Whitewater rafting...it was terrifying, but amazing. I was sore all over my body, especially my arms (I have no upper body strength) and legs (trying to hold myself in the raft).2. How are you staying cool and on track? A lot of water, cranking the A/C and planning things in advance for when the weather won't be too horrible. It didn't really get "too" hot until yesterday.
