I am doing the 365 project, and while i'm still 164 pictures away from finishing, I plan on doing a photobook to mark this accomplishment.
I started loading the pictures last night to the book, and I'm only doing the small square one, I think it's 7x7. It has the option to resize them automatically, but i'm wonder if that's good enough?
Has anyone had them resize the pictures or should I go through a do it myself?
Part of me whats to do it myself, so I know what it'll look like... but the other part isn't really sure what size they should be, plus i'm kind of lazy.
Real problems here, folks.
Re: Blurb question
Yeah, I've never used it before either... actually, this is my first photobook ever! So, I am quite lost.
We make the rockin' world go 'round.
I make the kids' annual, 120-pg, books using blurb. (yes, it takes me a year, talk about labor of love!) I like their layouts a lot, I download their software. Blurb is not like shutterfly, etc - it is not a photosharing, photostorage site. You make your book using their software on your computer and then you upload it, I usually leave that overnight. As I said I really do like their layouts and I love their "dust jacket" books. However, I am a perfectionist and I do each page as a full-bleed in Corel (it's a photo-editing software) or as a 2-page spread (this is new to blurb) and then upload those. But if you want to use their software, it's fairly easy to change the size of the photo on the page (love this feature as shutterfly and others don't offer that), if you don't want a full-bleed photo, you can also move the size and location of the text box. If the image is too small, it will alert you to low-resolution with a yellow triangle. I make 12x12 books and this year plan to make a copy of a 12x12 into an 8x8.
