Job question

Would some employers not call you if your number is long distance?  I know the job hunt to hard here and probably just thinking crazy.  I'm worried that employer would rather have someone who has been in the area for a while or at least has a 503 area code.

  • Nope, doubt it.  In this day and age, everyone uses cell phones... and many have numbers from other places.  As long as your resume has your address showing that you're in the Portland metro, you should be fine.

I'm happy to help with your resume, if you'd like.  I'm in HR for a large company here in PDX, so I look at resumes all.day.long.
