Oregon Nesties
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
Would some employers not call you if your number is long distance? I know the job hunt to hard here and probably just thinking crazy. I'm worried that employer would rather have someone who has been in the area for a while or at least has a 503 area code.

Nope, doubt it. In this day and age, everyone uses cell phones... and many have numbers from other places. As long as your resume has your address showing that you're in the Portland metro, you should be fine.
I'm happy to help with your resume, if you'd like. I'm in HR for a large company here in PDX, so I look at resumes all.day.long.
