DH just went over to the house (all of 1.5 miles away) for the home inspection. I don't anticipate anything major, but I'm still just a bit nervous! Hopefully all will go well. Our appraisal is tomorrow. Our LO thinks we can close as soon as the first Friday in August. For as slow as the negotiations went, things sure went into hyper-speed!
This is totally being a big, fat, SHAMELESS AW, so you can always think badly of me later--but I am so excited and can't wait to share a few pics
Front of the house (unfortunately, the front door in the original lisitng was replaced with an ugly plain white door, but we plan to upgrade that soon). Look at all those trees--but ignore the other landscaping...it does need some love :

I haven't decided which room will be the craft room yet. There are a few options ![]()
Thanks for endulging me and my AWing!
Re: NCR: Home inspection is today :) PIPs to entice you!
For some reason, this makes me crazy excited! You have so much fun ahead of you! I love the foyer!
btw, I thought "LO" meant your DD
(It's early) I thought, "Wow! She is smart"!

Beautiful!
In 5 home purchases, I've only had one failed inspection. And that was for a 250+ yo house. I'm sure it will go great.

I'm not too worried, but it is a foreclosure so there aren't any disclosures to give us a heads-up of problems.

Let me know if you need recs for any work on the house, we've had to fix almost everything at our place so we've been through a lot of companies for diff jobs.

You are in M'rtta right if I remember right? I will most DEFINITELY be taking you up on that offer (and once I have my space set up, we must have a "craft date").
I don't have any good pictures of the rooms. There are 4 br upstairs (master, LA's, hopefully one for a second kid)--leaving one. There is also a room on the main floor that can be a bedroom (would need to change out a door, but there is a full bath). The dilema is assigning some of the spaces.
For the time being, I will probably share the downstairs room with LA's toys since it is off the living room (seperated by glass panel french doors) so that I can craft and let her play (or join in the crafting) since she has let me do that some. Here is a picture of the "door" to the room" from an weird angle LOL
Eventually, our plan is to close off the front formal living room with the french doors from the bedroom for a office/study so DH has a nice place to work when he works from home. When we do that, we will close off the wall to the bedroom and make the downstairs room the guest bedroom (there is another door on the side of the room). Then, the fourth bedroom upstairs will be my craft room.
We have a lot of space (there is even a full basement underneath that is not finished--yet), so it is really just a matter of figuring out what works for us until we can do what we want.
Here is the kitchen with DH and our REA (which needs some updating, but nothing that we can't live with for a while). The photo is taken from the family room.

We're in Roswell near the river. A craft date would be fun
I wish we had a basement.. we've toyed with the idea of moving, but it just seems crazy since it's just the two of us & we dont *need* more space (& I don't want everyone we know to assume I'm pg if we did get a bigger house). I would totally claim the whole thing for my hobbies.
