My Eggplant blossoms keep falling off

I have 3 eggplant plants.  I had counted about 15 blossoms between the 3 plants.  After they bloom, the entire blossom and stem fall off and I see it on the ground.

Is this something wrong with the plant or could it be an animal that is chewing it off?  It doesn't look like it was chewed off, but it's hard to tell.  I've also noticed this with my strawberries which are planted right next to my eggplant.  My tomatoes seem to be fine, so I'm not sure what's going on!

Mine was also doing the same thing, but I only have 1 plant. Finally I have 2 small eggplants growing, so have hope!

  • Some of mine fell off too.  We ended up getting 3 Japanese eggplant and 1 traditional eggplant this year.  I think they might be done for the season.  We are going to let them sit 1 more week before we tear them out.
