Roku?

Does anyone here use a Roku?  It's the Woot deal of the day and MH and I were looking at it curious if it was worth it.  Is it more cost effective than just getting regular cable?  Can you get regular shows (like grey's, burn notice, etc)?  or is it really just for things like Netflix?  What do you like/not like?  Thanks!

Re: Roku?

  • I have a Roku. I use the Roku to access Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu. That's basically it for me.You can look up what they offer to stream instantly on their websites. It doesn't do anything that an xbox or ps3 wouldn't do, if you already have one of those then you can check out the service. If you don't watch a ton of TV, it's a good deal. If you have your must-see shows and they dont stream from one of those places, your best bet is to stick with your cable & DVR.
  • And, of course, if you DH or you watch sports, not on basic, then you need cable
