I believe you are the one that loved Venice. We will have a very short time there - 1 night - but it's on our Anni. Any recs there on hotel, food, etc? I'm starting to look around.

We stayed at the Westin Europa and Regina, amazing hotel. It is right on the grand canal. We had a suite on the second floor with Romeo+Juliet balconies, the views were amazing and I really enjoyed just sitting there and watching all the traffic go by.

One of the best meals was at a place on the local side of town, it wasn't anything fancy, but the food was some of the best we had in Italy. I am not positive on the name, let me ask DH tonight.
