ulta question

Having never been and not being a big makeup person...can you try things out there prior to purchasing?

Re: ulta question

  • If you're talking about their higher end stuff, yes.  They have testers just like Sephora.

If you're talking about drug store lines, no, those are all individually packaged and sealed up.  They have them, but they're not trial friendly.

  • you can - but, i totally wouldn't recommend the silver spring store.  i was just in there on friday, and thought it looked dirty and disheveled.  i couldn't even find any disposible sponges, alcohol, etc.

and i soooo wanted to try out the tarte true blood palette!  boo.

  • yup - I was in the Rockville one and that's where I tried the PUR Minerals.  The girl was really helpful.  I was thinking of switching from a powder-based product because I thought it was starting to show lines but she showed me how using a different product was really all I needed.

  • oh and Ulta has a pretty good return policy.  I think if you buy a product and don't like it you can return it (as long as you haven't used a ton of it).

Yep! I've only done this once, but it's nice to know that you can if things don't work out.
